United Wholesale Mortgage Super Bowl Commercial Drives Record Visits to FindAMortgageBroker.com
Over 75,000 consumers visited site in first 48 hours of commercial airing
PONTIAC, MI, February 5, 2020 – United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), the #1 wholesale mortgage lender, dropped its first-ever Super Bowl commercial on Sunday, February 2 touting independent mortgage brokers website, FindAMortgageBroker.com. After airing in numerous markets nationally, FindAMortgageBroker.com had over 75,000 site visitors in the first 48 hours.
“Our main focus is to support mortgage brokers so if we’re going to do something as big as a Super Bowl commercial it’s going to be one that tells consumers brokers are the best place to get a mortgage,” said Mat Ishbia, president and CEO of UWM. “If a consumer goes through an independent mortgage broker it will be faster, easier and more affordable than going through a retail lender or mega bank. Whether that loan goes to UWM or not isn’t the point, we’re here to show brokers that we have their back while educating consumers.”
UWM launched FindAMortgageBroker.com in 2016 to increase national awareness of independent mortgage brokers as the best way for consumers to purchase and refinance a home. In addition to educating consumers and real estate professionals on the benefits of using a mortgage broker over large banks and mega retail lenders, the website also hosts a nationwide database of brokers, searchable by city, state or zip code, to help borrowers and real estate agents easily locate independent mortgage brokers in their area.
“The response to this ad has been phenomenal and we are proud to be the first lender to run a TV commercial in support of mortgage brokers nationwide,” said Sarah DeCiantis, chief marketing officer of UWM. “We have 5,200 team members who come to work every day to think of new ways to support independent mortgage brokers and this commercial is just one example of our commitment to our clients.”
The wholesale mortgage market is seeing unprecedented growth in recent months with over 40,000 independent mortgage brokers who make up an estimated 20 percent of the 2019 mortgage market.
