Pontiac, September 6, 2023 – United Wholesale Mortgage (UWM), the #1 overall mortgage lender in America, today introduced Safe Check Complete and expanded Safe Check to now include government and jumbo loans, as well as conventional loans, further protecting independent mortgage brokers and their borrowers from unwanted excessive trigger lead solicitations and helping borrowers save on increasing credit costs.

With Safe Check Complete, brokers can order a pre-qualification based on a 3-bureau soft credit check for $23 and UWM will then pull a tri-merge hard credit report at no additional cost to the borrower. LOs will also be able to recoup the cost of Safe Check Complete at closing.

Safe Check was originally launched in October 2022 at the AIME Fuse convention, offering $10 single bureau soft credit checks. It was enhanced in January 2023 to allow independent mortgage brokers the ability to order a pre-qualification for their borrowers based on a 3-bureau soft check for $23.
