Exclusively available for UWM partners, Safe Check gives you more certainty when taking applications, delays credit trigger solicitations and saves you and your borrowers money on credit costs. Safe Check allows you to pre-qualify your borrowers with a soft credit check that you can order in EASE or through your UWM Credit Account with Credco (see more information below) and run AUS on eligible loans.* When you select Safe Check Complete, UWM will pull the required tri-merge hard credit report at no additional cost to you or your borrower.

Safe Check can also help delay credit trigger leads and prevent solicitation of your borrowers by other lenders. Once your borrower signs the disclosure and you submit the loan, our team can help your borrower opt out of credit trigger lead solicitations for the next 5 years, protecting them on future loans.

When you order Safe Check in EASE, you can choose from 3 Safe Check options:

Safe Check Single • $20.60

Get a rough estimate of a borrower’s credit score and run AUS on eligible loans before paying for the 3-bureau soft credit check or a tri-merge hard credit report to get an idea of whether a borrower will qualify.

Safe Check Tri-Merge • $64

Create more certainty by pre-qualifying using a 3-bureau soft credit check, while controlling when you order the required tri-merge hard credit report.

Safe Check Complete• $64

Get the benefits of Safe Check Tri-Merge, plus UWM will order the required tri-merge hard credit report at no additional cost to you. With Safe Check Complete, you can recoup the $64 fee at closing.

Safe Check With Uwm Credit Account

If you order Safe Check through your UWM Credit Account with Credco, you can choose from Safe Check Tri-Merge or Complete for $64 — depending on whether you want to provide the hard credit report or have UWM order the required hard credit report at no additional cost to you.

• To enable Safe Check with your UWM Credit Account with Credco, the approved UWM agent for your account will need to click here to request an update to your credit options. Please note, it can take up to 72 hours for this change to be reflected in your Credco account.
